ABOUT LOTUS OF LAKOTA
Honoring birth as sacred. Supporting families with love, wisdom, and intention.
Lotus of Lakota was created with a vision: to restore birth to a place of peace, dignity, and deep spiritual connection. We believe that every mother deserves a sanctuary — a soft, nurturing space where her body is honored, her voice is heard, and her journey into motherhood is supported with compassion and cultural reverence.
At Lotus of Lakota, we blend holistic wellness, ancestral wisdom, and modern comfort to create an environment where families feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for. Our mission is to provide gentle birthing experiences, meaningful prenatal and postpartum support, community-centered healing, and a foundation of love for every new life entering the world.
We are committed to serving our community with excellence, representation, and respect. Through intentional design, personalized care, and a dedication to holistic wellbeing, Lotus of Lakota stands as a sanctuary where motherhood is celebrated, families are uplifted, and healing is embraced.
Birth is more than a moment — it is a sacred beginning. And here, we honor it fully.
Meet the Founder
Hello, and thank you for being here.
My name is Chevonne Tingle, and I’m honored to share the beginning of Lotus of Lakota with you.
This work comes from a lifetime of caring for children and families, listening deeply, and learning what compassionate, community-centered care truly looks like.
My journey with families began long before birth spaces entered the conversation. I have spent my entire adult life caring for children and supporting parents, including founding, operating, and sustaining a successful 24-hour childcare program. In that role, trust, safety, and consistency were not optional—they were essential. Families entrusted me with what mattered most to them, and that responsibility shaped how I understand care, accountability, and community.
Over time, my path expanded through years of immersion in clinical care, maternal support, and lactation. My connection to birth work became deeply personal after navigating a premature birth with my son—an experience that revealed both the resilience of families and the gaps that still exist in how care is often delivered during vulnerable moments.
That experience changed how I understand birth and postpartum support. It clarified for me that birth is not only a medical event, but a sacred transition—one that deserves dignity, patience, cultural respect, and informed choice.
Today, my work continues to evolve through birth support, lactation, and advanced medical training, with the long-term goal of becoming an OB-GYN. Lotus of Lakota is an extension of that journey—a holistic birthing sanctuary rooted in community, autonomy, and reverence for the birthing process.
This vision is being built slowly and intentionally. Every decision is guided by integrity, lived experience, and deep respect for the families I hope to serve.
Thank you for being here and for witnessing this work as it unfolds.
